Kennetha is a dynamic frontwoman whose path to the stage is anything but typical. A trained ballet teacher, historian, and writer, she brings precision, depth, and creativity to her role as lead vocalist and lyricist for STELLA. In 2015 she crossed paths with Dave Q, and the musical chemistry was instant. Under the vocal guidance of Micah Barnes, Kennetha developed a distinctive sound—equal parts power, finesse, and presence. With roots in classical discipline and a heart for rock, Kennetha commands the stage with a voice and vision all her own.
Dave Q

Dave Q is a veteran guitarist, songwriter, and creative force behind Toronto’s STELLA, known for blending edgy art-punk grit with melodic, new-wave sensibility. A former member of the formative post-punk band Brazen Hussies, who released two acclaimed albums in the 1990s, Dave’s style draws comparisons to the Pixies and B-52s, delivering inventive guitar work that’s both propulsive and unpredictable. His fearless approach to arrangement and lyricism—honed through years on the underground circuit and a past life as a sharp-tongued music critic—drives STELLA’s dynamic sound. Whether crafting nervy hooks or twisting conventions with sly wit, Dave brings a restless, high-voltage energy that keeps audiences engaged and the music fresh.

Kevin O'Heany
Percussionist
Kevin O'Heany has been banging on things for as long as he can remember. He played pots & pans, spoons, tables, bongos, Djembe and finally found the Cajon. This Afro-Peruvian ''Box" drum meets all his percussive needs. The dynamic range of the cajon is astounding - the drum can support a quiet acoustic guitar and singer and, with a little electronic assistance, can step up to holding the beat in a completely amplified band. An active percussionist since 2007, Kevin has played in a number of bands and venues, most notably playing Dixieland Jazz rhythms every Sunday for more than a year at Grossman's Tavern as "Jazz Cahonist" with the New Orleans Connection All-Stars. Kevin currently holds down the percussionist role in The Parkdale Musician's Collective and loves the high energy work with STELLA.
Roy Bonadonna
Bassist, Vocalist
Roy Bonadonna has been playing in bands since he was 16. His main instruments are bass, acoustic guitar and piano. His influences are wide-ranging, anything from the Beatles and Led Zeppelin to the Ramones, the Clash and the Sex Pistols. He is also a fan of Danish alternative group the Raveonettes. The role of the bass is simple: to lay down the groove of a song and establish, along with the drums, a solid foundation for the rest of the band to build upon which he does superbly.
